The national park is located in Banyuputih, Situbondo, East Java, Indonesia. The nearest local airport is Blimbingsari in Banyuwangi. From the airport, you could reach the place in about 1.5 hours by car.
The nearest international airport is Juanda Airport in Sidoarjo, Surabaya. From the airport you could choose to go by car for about 6 hour trip, or you could take another flight to Blimbingsari Airport.
The park is quite unique and rarely found in the other places in Java because of the habitat. There are several ecosystems inside the place, such as homogeneous forest, tropical forest, evergreen forest, savanna, and beautiful beaches.
We can enjoy some different sensations in just one area. Visiting this
place will make us feel like in Africa, therefore the national park is also called as Africa van java.
We could do several activities inside the park, such as observing animals like birds, deer, buffaloes, monkeys, and some leopards. We also could do diving or snorkeling at the Bama beach inside the park. The beach with beautiful coral reefs. Or we could climb the Baluran mountain which is of 1,240 meters above sea level to see the 600 meters depth caldera.
